TinyUTM® is a compact, compression-frame Universal Testing Machine for small specimens that delivers lab-grade compression (ISO 604, 14126), flexural (ISO 178, 14125, 7438), fracture toughness (SENB, ISO 13586, 12737, 12135), small punch (EN 10371) and tensile (ISO 527) on polymers, composites, and metals. A portable Leeb hardness tester is included. An enclosure for high temperature testing is in development.

Designed for professional use by qualified personnel in education, industry, and R&D, TinyUTM offers a cost-effective solution with broad testing capabilities intended for screening, comparative studies, and method development rather than full-scale certification testing. It is purpose-built for next generation materials and low-to-moderate load regimes, where much of today’s high-impact research takes place. Not intended for general consumer or hobbyist use; users must have the training and experience required to safely operate this equipment.

At just 30 × 30 × 45 cm with a 3 kN maximum load capacity, it comes with the in-house software UTMware and a built-in database of test parameters and benchmarks. UTMware provides a clean, foundation for building ISO-aligned testing equipment.
TinyUTM ships with video extensometry as standard — non-contact, marker-tracked, and supports calibration workflows across test configurations. Full stress–strain curves, exported clean from UTMware.
Prototype demonstrated at Maker Faire Rome (Oct 2025). ISO 7500-1 certification in progress. Case studies portfolio releasing late-2026. Initial rollout targeting the EU education market — distribution options under assessment.
